At the SDG Tech Awards on the 22nd of October, hosted by Sustainary, CEO of Nerve Smart Systems, Jesper Boie Rasmussen, received the award for Best Start-up. Nerve Smart Systems is very happy to be acknowledged in such a strong category together with other finalists; WorthmoreLulu LabEAT GRIM and WAIR.

Technology of all kinds must and can play an integral part in saving the world and integrating smart technology into society is Nerve Smart Systems’ main focus. Nerve Smart Systems won the award for Denmark’s best startup at the largest Nordic sustainability show, the SDG Tech Awards, for promoting sustainability as well as the UN’s sustainable development goals. The award was presented by Sustainary, a global platform for sustainability, in collaboration with Vækstfonden and Den Grønne Investeringsfond.

The jury, consisting of international and high-profile participants, chose Nerve Smart Systems as the winner. The jury was impressed by the way in which Nerve Smart Systems’ battery energy storage technology, Nerve Switch®, can help facilitate the integration of green energy in a CO2 neutral future.

The SDG Tech Awards were a part of the Green Impact Week, an initiative with 5 days full of talks, workshops, exhibitions, and other activities with a sustainable focus. The main partners behind the Green Impact Week were Sustainary, Creative Business Network, DISIE, Frej and MakeImpact. The jury consisted of over 50 participants from the Department for International Trade (DIT)Atea DanmarkVækstfondenDISIE and Danfoss as well as many others.

Nerve Smart Systems is thrilled to be one of the nominees up for the Roskilde Erhvervspris (Business award).

Roskilde is where Nerve Smart Systems’ home base is located, and it means a lot to be recognized by our community here. We strive to become a green force within the battery energy storage sector and hope that we can inspire others to also make more sustainable choices in the future.

The Roskilde business award is given to a company in the municipality of Roskilde, which has created growth and development in the local business community, and which contributes to a positive branding of Roskilde.

Candidates for the award are chosen by recommendations from the business community in Roskilde. All companies located within the municipality of Roskilde may be nominated for the award.

In November 2020, a selection committee consisting of Mayor Tomas Breddam, ErhvervsForum’s chairman Rune Tarnø, editor of Dagbladet Roskilde Lars Ahn Pedersen and several representatives from the local business community will select two finalists.

The winner of the award will be announced at the New Year’s party held in mid-January 2021. The participants of the New Year’s party will vote and choose the final winner from the two finalists.

As of the 28th of May, Nerve Smart Systems has joined State of Green – a not-for-profit, public-private partnership between the Danish Government and Denmark’s four leading business associations: Confederation of Danish Industry, the Danish Energy Association, the Danish Agriculture & Food Council and the Danish Wind Industry Association. Its aim is to foster relations with international stakeholders interested in Danish competencies and technologies that enable the green transition in society.

State of Green provides a one-point entry to more than 600 Danish business, governmental and academic institutions, experts, and researchers. Thereby making it easier to get in contact with leading Danish players who are working to drive the global transition to a sustainable, low-carbon, resource-efficient society. Whether it be within renewable energy, energy efficiency, water management, waste management, climate adaption or integrated urban solutions, State of Green can match with the partners and solutions needed. The goal is to support in the global green transition in the most optimal way.

Nerve Smart Systems have per 1st of April joined Danske Maritime, which is a business association for Danish manufactures of maritime equipment and vessels.

Denmark has a long and proud history within the marine sector. From the Vikings many centuries ago to Maersk’s huge containerships which are crossing the oceans today. However, the Danish maritime industry is much more. It is an industry with more than 1.000 companies and around 40.000 employees that strives to develop, produce and service maritime technology.
